This sucks...but there is a silver lining to this cloud

In the last week AJ's and the BBQ place at Java Joe's closed. Damn.

At least Java Joe's will continue to sell chicken nuggets.

Still confused about tipping

I worked in restaurants from 1998 - 2005. I still can't figure out tipping in the CNMI.

Sometimes I'll leave a tip and they'll bring it back to me. I don't get it. Saipan needs one of those gratuity card things written in five languages and inside of every check presenter. It would help.

In the meantime, I'm just not going to tip.

On Hovering

I'm annoyed.

I hate it when a waiter brings your bill and then stands next to your table waiting for you to pay. That's annoying. Drop the check, walk away, give me time to look over the bill, then come back after I put the bill down with either a credit card or cash on top.

If I'm in a rush, I'll ask you to wait while I get my money out. If not, walk away.
